Visit a Shellfish Farm Buck Bay Shellfish Farm

Here's a unique farm we bet you don't have back home- a shellfish farm! At Buck Bay Shellfish, you can literally gaze over the water right where your lunch was grown. Buck Bay Shellfish farm grows their own oysters and clams, and also offers fresh locally caught crab, prawns, salmon, halibut, along with other seasonal items. Once you've placed your order, grab a picnic table overlooking the bay and get ready for an oyster shucking lesson! Soon you'll be shucking oysters like a pro and enjoying the (seafood) farm to table experience!

Orcas Farmers Market: Saturdays from 10-3 On Orcas, we proudly support our artisans and farmers, and our farmers market shows that! Each item sold in the market is either grown or crafted by Orcas Island farmers and artisans. With bountiful produce, beautiful clothing and jewelry, local flowers and fruit preserves, food and drink vendors, and the art that makes Orcas famous, the market has something for everyone. So, come on down, tap your feet to the bluegrass music, grab a bite to eat, and find some local market treasures!

Taste History in Jam Form Girl Meets Dirt

Girl Meets Dirt is another Orcas opportunity to get back to roots, fruit tree roots, that is! Audra is the girl behind the dirt and makes fruit preserves from island heritage fruit grown right on Orcas. The shop and kitchen, "Handpicked" is just outside Eastsound on Orcas, and is found by the delicious aromas wafting through the doors. At Handpicked, you will find scrumptious samples, shelves stocked with a vast array of preserves, and be able to watch as something delicious is crafted in front of your eyes. We are sure you will come away with a tasty treat or two after this farm to (might not make it to the) table experience!
