In true island fashion, our first year was spent going with the "flow". We came to the Landmark, determined to not make any crazy changes to the way things were run. It's easy to come in with flashy ideas, but it was a little bit of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" or as Vin likes to say "we aren't here to reinvent the wheel". As the newcomers, we wanted to make sure we really embraced the culture of the island and the beauty of the Landmark and didn't take away from what made our guests love coming back. We made a few small changes, like adding in a pergola and switching to a gas firepit instead of woodburning, but nothing too crazy.
While we'd like to hope that nothing we are planning for 2025 or beyond is CRAZY, we are excited to put our own stamp on things. Looking forward that includes packages like our Valentine's Getaway, our Murder Mystery Weekend, the addition of gift certificates, wash and dry laundry services, and in-room add-ons such as bouquets. It also includes fun events like Easter Egg hunting, or a pre-firework BBQ to enjoy while waiting for the show to start right across the street.
We have LOTS of ideas for 2025 as it just feels...magical somehow? It is perhaps because we are now a quarter of the way through this century? Because we have a year under our belt and are feeling more confident? We aren't sure, but we know one thing. 2025 HERE WE COME!
